  • are those Pearl Competitor series quints and snares?

  • I don't know if there are Pearl Competitor quints and snares. I'm not a drummer.. I'm only a drummer wannabe! I do know you are correct in identifying the drums as Pearl brand because I've see it written on the drums

  • Thanks, by any chance do you live in Belle Chasse or have anyone that lives down there?

  • No Steveaux. I live in Baton Rouge. JUst curious. Why do you ask? Do you live in Belle Chase?

  • @steveaux03 ya same with us

  • @connorkmoran Yeah our drumline has them now, but in black.

  • @steveaux03 I think they are championship

  • tim jacksons-2 I think, Tenor's stick

  • Wow, not being able to play a simple triplet check pattern at this level is beyond unacceptable. Then again, this is the LSU drumline. No technique, no creativity, no consistency. Tiger band would be SO MUCH better if there were some "caring" in the drumline. Some things never change though.

  • @meyniac504 FAG, you dont know what you're talking bout.

  • what's with the stupid roll breakdown? who thought of this? almost as cool as the hill experience

  • You're right they are pearl championship tenors. But they are 3-yr old, very worn-down championship tenors. they dont hold tone well at all. We would tune them and it would sound good for about 13 minutes.

  • No. Competitor tenors are not as deep as championship series. They also aren't offered with a 6" or 14" drum, 8/10/12/13 config only. Competitor snares don't have a reinforcement ring for the top head to sit on, the head sits directly on the shell. I don't know of too many college marching bands that couldn't afford top notch drums.
