He never fought Howard Jackson. (God rest his soul.) Retired undefeated as World Champion means that he never lost a fight as World Champion.

Yo...I take TaeKwonDo, and I must say, his kicks are awsome. Especially his spinning hook kick. That truly is "the dragon whipping it's tail."

I was honored to be one of Jerry's students at an ATA Karate studio in Marietta Georgia. In martial arts speed is power, I remember Jerry doing a jump spin side kick and splitting a heavy bag in two. I also remember him taking his 5th degree black belt test. Part of his test involved sparring with two different black belts. He kicked the two guys around like they were white belts. By the way, he really became a bad ass fighter once he started taking boxing. The combination made him a champion.

sure why not? I heard guys like bas rutten say akido cant be used in mma, then lyota machida and anderson silva thank steven segal for showing them how to use a front kick properly in a fight. He studied akido and lyota machida and jones have said they used alot of sumo wrestling techniques in there standing up game to take fighters down. Didnt bolo yeung study tai chi? Id say he was a pretty tough dude.

just so you know ernie reyes jr. is tkd fighter and had 3 fights for strikeforce and has a record of 3-0 and also cung le is a tkd fighter who was strikeforce champion. Cung started fighting mma at 36 and you want to talk about what doesnt work? Go tell lyota machida soft style of karate doesnt work, go tell pac-man that boxing isnt a good way of fighting. All im saying is all styles of fighting work, depending on the person using it.

Sorry u think that, i'm 52 and from an shorin ryu back ground with a mix of taekwondo which was added by my instructor for forms compotitions, but I just put a man down with a spining side kick and this guy was a bouncer at a club. With speed and the right application and if u have the ability like JERRY TRIMBLE those kicks will work to day.
