This is part 1 of a series of 3 road tests in my 1999 Toyota Sienna. I used my HHO generator (1-1.3 lpm) and my MAP/MAF sensor adjuster with interesting results.

  • Need? Yes. Using an EFIE at time of testing? No. Sadly, the comment from 51578200 turns out to be correct.

  • So your readings on MPG were with booster off? I ordered one of the map sensor enhancers, how do you know the sweet spots w/out scangauge? I have a 1995 Nissan Skyline, so I don't have OBD2.

  • In this test, yes. The booster was off. In the next 2 tests the booster was on.

To find the "sweet spots", I would use the same methods I described in this video. That doesn't require the ScanGuage.

  • you are going to run to lean and burn out the

motor! the lean you run the hoter the motor

    will run!

  • That's why these are only for use with HHO generators. When you mix HHO with gasoline, your engine will likely run rich. These devices are designed to compensate for that problem.

  • Hi. Could you tell me what the larger box is. It was hard to catch when you said it. Also what sight did you find it. Also did you say you were selling your enhancers on ebay?

  • The box on the left is what I sell on ebay. You can find my listings at myworld(dot)ebay(dot)com/nashsi/

The box on the right is a ScanGuage II. I don't sell them, but they are easy to find with a Google (or other web) search.

  • I'll bet the reason it stays in open loop so long with the "device" set lean is that the computer has to adjust the fuel trims (STFT and/or LTFT) to compensate for the "enhancement." This is 100% bogus.

  • a EFIE is lame because its just set at a fixed setting while driving. a Apexi AFC is way way better. just buy one off craig's list or ebay. i use a VAFC1 for every project i do no matter the make car as long as it has a ECU or ECM

  • i thought the o2 sensor enhancer EFIE was meant to keep your engine from running rich

  • illegal in New Hampshire, no vehicle will pass inspection with these in there

  • BE CARFULL if you use stainless steel wire l316 in your generator reacts with water under the circumstances and produce cancer causing chromates that any contact may result in serious wired cancer - therefore when you do clean and service your generator make sure you have rubber gloves when opening the lid. REMEMBER do not dispose remaining liquid into sink or any home canalisation systems - store these liquids in a larger container and wait for recycling centres that will turn it bk:-)

  • Hey friend, do you use or need a EFIE?

  • ScanGauge II gives a false mpg reading with MAF/MAP enhancers like this one. When you check mpg the analog way, i.e. divide gal. used into miles travelled you'll see that Scangauge II exaggerates mpg.
