-Unconciously I did open my mouth and make myself look strange in the beginning.
-Griffin's expression at about 5:35
-Jordan's solo at 1:01, Thomas's solo at 2:35, my solo at 4:05
-Griffin's epic solo beginning around 7:10

  • rob , i am 71 y.o. and we used to go a club in L.A. where your dad was featured. we were in med school and we truly enjoyed his music!!! every week, i have to listen to his music and yes, that's how he introduced it Whachi Wado!!!!! are you a musician also??? dr. john

  • Thanks you for acknowleding tyhat it is Cal Tjader. As far as the title goes, You are both right. Correct spelling is Guachi Guara... the original recording has it as Wachi wara --though My dad always called it Whachi Wado on the bandstand...so--go figure..My Dad would enjoy your version--Thanks for covering!.. Rob Tjader--Cal's Son.
