Greetings, Earthlings. A pint sized extraterrestrial has just landed on our planet by accident...and he's feeling a little alienated because he got separated from his family upon arrival. Fortunately, the hilarious intergalactic antics of this Mysterious Alien Creature (MAC) will help him charm his way into the heart of everyone he meets.

As far as best friends go, MAC makes a pretty good one. He has a gentle disposition and a terrific sense of humour. But for new kid in town Eric Cruise, the problem is that no one will believe that his fun new friend even exists. Everyone thinks it's all science fiction, until MAC comes out of hiding and takes Eric, his family, his neighbourhood and his world on a fantastical journey that will transform their lives...forever!

How two boys worlds apart become the best of friends.

when i watched this as a kid i always hoped they would make a sequel because it says "we'll be back" on the bubble gum bubble, after 22 years i guess that hope is dead!!!

@tinman1102 It's funny 'cause fans would always ask Spielberg for an E.T. sequel to which he would always respond with no. Instead he reissues it with enhancements and added scenes. The most notable part of this was replacing guns with walkie talkies. I think after all that and after watching Mac and Me it would appear that hopes for an E.T. sequel are dull by this point.
