we r thankful to indians but we bengalis fought against pakis cause we wanted to. pakis should not think india made the war. it was pakis whose attitude promted the war and bengalis fought against pakis and Indians helped us. pakis attacked india cause they were frustrated with indian support of bengalis and india fought pakis for their strategic purpose. it was not an indo-pak war. it was Bangladesh liberation War.

I am sorry to see the Pakis who hate Bangladesh...these ignorant idiots have not learned from their mistake and now their country is on the verge of disintegration. They kill 40 millon of US and yet they blame us for separation...ha ha ha... The birth of Pakistan was it self a wrong thing...Birth of Bangladesh is the proof of that...in 20 years from now Bangladesh will be a great country of which every one will be proud of. I wish Pakistan will do better too...wish you luck.

@Bnglore2010 if you are an expert try to find out what happened about 400 years ago.bangla was a richest country involving bihar patna, etc in it. it was an independent area ruled by isha kha but the mughal empire attacked us many timesbut failed untill isha kha died.after that thy played a trick and took control of bangla. we deserve freedom from before..it looks like the british gave a goldcoin(bangla) to a beggar(pak)where we had no similarity in tradition or culture.becoming muslm nt enf.

@spacedon1 Another unfaithful Bangladeshi..no mater what we do to Bangladesh..thy always cry...Unfortunately we have so many of them in india as refugees in the war & setled here comfartably without any discrimination deep inside India..get the facts correct..there were many indian soldiers died saving bangladeshies..we don't need any credit from u..the whole world knows the facts..tell me one cntry which was going to help bangladesh,,none..zero zilch nota..without india bangldesh wldnt exist.

@Bnglore2010 indian army didnt save bangladesh but they helped to be saved . they provided us weapons but lately the war could end soon if they were really intend to help. they had a strategy to win against pak thats all. 3 mill bangladeshi died in bangladesh its the bangladeshi who died not the indian army. dont take the full credit. there were many other countries who could help.

As an Indian I an PROUD that my country helped Bangladeshis in 1971. i have 3 uncles who fought in the war and as if their tales of the treatment of POW's by Pakistanis wasn't enough, the GENOCIDE and the INSTITUTIONALIZED RAPING OF WOMEN just added to the reasons to do what we did. It s great to see today Bangladesh not only recover from that trauma, but on its way to have HIGHER GDP than Pak, who still hasn't learnt its lessons. Hope we have a bright future.
