  • @bacatran2011 Dude... That is the DUMBEST thing to say about DJing. I don't knock any vinyl purist out there because that's their thing and there's nothing wrong with that. But EVERYTHING you can do with vinyl can be done with a laptop but there are things that can be done with a laptop that a vinyl purist could NEVER DO!! And fyi ALL of the greatest DJs that we all look up to have embraced the new technology so grow up a little bit.

  • @bigfatdick5000 but at least they keeping Turntablism Alive ;)

  • I'm a traktor purist, but I'd love to switch to serato, lol

  • Oh shit he's a PRO(:

  • If you know how to mix with just vinyl, you can mix easily with a pair of cdj's or serato. It's good to learn how to mix without looking at the serato screen, that way you can concentrate more on the crowd. My advice is, if you are a serato dj, when learning to mix, just black out your laptop screen when you have picked a song and you're ready to mix it in. That way, you practise your ears, not your eyes.

  • if anyone needs proof that djing can be just as rewarding and difficult without vinyl, look at atrack.

  • @bacatran2011 you dont dj do you.

  • @TheLoneTroop its not at you its at laptop djs witch use mouses on there own without vinyl.

  • @TheLoneTroop a didnt a learned by ear period!

  • @djdiligence And secondly you must have picked up tips by watching people you admired? Surely this is a way of learning. The resources are there...guitar teachers teach guitar, why not learn to scratch from Someone like DJAngelo who's an amazing scratch artist and makes brilliant tutorials for people - for free. Big ups to that man.

  • @djdiligence Who are you calling a wanker mate? And why are you directing this at me. I use Vinyl in conjunction with Traktor with 100% absolute mode. I don't believe in button pushing either. I'm all for walking into a room full of vinyl and being able to mix. I replied to someone who wanted to know how to use this stuff.

  • @djdiligence 1st off... I disagree with using a sync lock myself! I mean come on son lets show that you got a some rhythm. LOL 2nd... Think about this, That same pro dj who does a set on vinyl and then gets less praise then the laptop dj who did the same set can "one-up" that shitty dj by taking a laptop and expose him for the poser he is. Think about... legends like DJ Craze, Shiftee, Jazzy Jeff, QBert, Revolution, A-Trak and countless others do it daily.
