STEREO solar panels

An animation depicting the solar panel deployment on the two STEREO spacecraft. NASA's STEREO mission consists of two nearly identical spacecraft which were placed in orbit about the sun to obtain three dimensional information about the sun and solar wind. This animation shows the period right after the launch in Oct. 2006 when the spacecraft were still in orbit about the Earth. -APL
