  • For everyone who is of an older stage of life... I want you to know that I am only 23 and this song rings true to me at every level of core of being. This song isn't just for one generation. It is timeless and it touches every soul no matter how old or young.

  • @user2525able she said in a recent interview (search stevie nicks glee interview) that she wrote it when she was thinking about leaving him so yes, he did inspire it but not in the way you're thinking

  • i love this my Father passed away when i was deployed i love ya DAD. no smart remarks please i'm typeed out with a flashlight.Peace and love out

  • @cherfan97 This song was written by Stevie about Lindsey when they were very poor and she was trying to decide whether to go back to school and follow a different career path. She says he inspired it and she wrote it about him. Click the link to the video of this song in 2004 on the right side of the screen to hear her say it herself. She dedicates it to her father here because back in the 70s he misunderstood the song to be about him, and she sweetly didn't want to tell him otherwise.

  • this song wasn't written after everything happened between her and lindsey she was only 25 when she wrote it, it's supposed to be relatable for people of any age....

  • @robcas631 Because he walked out before I was even done to go watch football in the adjacent bar. Because when I explained to him what it was supposed to mean, he said nothing.

  • No Description available. ~~ none required.

  • @IcarusHunt How can you be sure it meant nothing to him? Just asking ok?

  • I sang this song live the only time my father ever came to see me sing. 'This is for you daddy,' meant absolutely nothing to him. That being said, I have no regrets.

  • Great song! Great performance! I'm using this video to lean to play it on my Taylor 814ce - the same guitar that Lindsey Buckingham is using in this performance. Lindsey, if you're reading this, I could use some tips.
