  • where did you place the 5751 preamp tube? V2 ???? I have the same amp and just got hold of a 1960 NOS GE 5751. love to chat. great amp., oh yes!

  • @nznaturopath ... yes... The 5751 is in position V2. Also, even though the diaz mod engaged removes V1 from the circuit, I removed V1 altogether. After I posted that video, I had a 69 super reverb cabinet with a 3/4 inch plywood baffle board cut for a 15 inch speaker. I put the vibroverb in that cabinet with an old 15 inch EV speaker I bought off ebay. The speaker sounded a lot better in the cabinet with the thicker baffle board. It is a fuller sound.

  • Great sound, with your eyes closed you would have say that you nailed the SRV with excellent SRV + your own style.

Question, the TS are they combined running one into other? If not, which TS do you have going to the Vibroverb and the S. Reverb?

  • @doc4blues ..... The TS9 is driving the TS808.... The TS808 feeds a Boss Chorus pedal. I don't have the chorus pedal on, but it's got 2 outputs. One feeds the Vibroverb and the other feeds the Super Reverb. The settings for the pedals are in a pic on the video. I have them right beside one another. thanks....

  • thanks....

  • Great tone!!! Especially for this song.

  • @EricCirca6566 thanks.... I love the combination sound of the 2 amps...

  • I just picked a 1964 Super Reverb...for free...!!! I helped my buddies and there dad move stuff and he said I could have it, been sitting for 25 years. Cloth is all yellowed but it's in pretty decent shape. I haven't played it yet, gonna change the fuse and tubes. Appears tobe all original tubes.

  • @mcnaugri Sounds wonderful mate. The 64custom is sweet. I use it alone, or with a hendrix signature 4 x 12 vintage green backs. I have a Jimi Hendrix Super100JH full stack, so on occasion i plug one of the 4 x 12 cabinets into the vibroverb, and "WOW", its actually something special indeed. Cabinet changing is useful indeed. BUt mainly i use the Jimi Stack in stereo with the vibroverb, one has to hear that to believe it. Love the hand wired amps. :-) rock on! Thanks for the info.

  • i like it man

  • cool video, I also made a cover of this song, keep up the good work!

  • damn that's awesome!!!
