  • @Omithy I would humbly contend that the translation below fits better because it alludes to the whole memory-erasing deal, while the passage actually spoken doesn't really.

  • @HisDivineShadow245 The Star Trek writers reworded that phrase to fit in the episode.

  • I love this scene, but I red this book (in italian) and I don't remember that being the first line. It translates properly as "In that part of the book of my memory before which little could be read, there is a section which says: 'Here begins a new life' (Latin)."

    Those who have seen this entire episode will understand how appropriate this quote is to the overall storyline and the Doctor's situation.
