Montclair, NJ :: Jan. 22, 2009 ::Coal Action
Last night I attended the first Power Past Coal action in NJ. Organized by Ted Glick, a long time environmental activist, the small group was well received by passers-by honking horns in support and marks the beginning of what promises to be an exciting year of activism around the environment around the nation. In attendance were members of Essex County Greens.org Blue Wave NJ.org Lakeland Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and other just plain motivated folks. Learn about actions in your area, or schedule one yourself at powerpastcoal.org Students should also check out Powershift 2009 for more actions around coal in 2009.
