Lemon trees must be grown from a graft, and they survive best in warm, moist, coastal climates such as Italy, Spain, California and Florida. Find out how to grow a lemon tree, which can survive in cooler climates when grown in a greenhouse, with advice from a sustainable gardener in this free video on gardening.

  • @MrSyntheticDesign Well she said where lomons originated and went. Maby thay were around for millenia where thay originated but that dosent mean that thay were always in America as she explained where thay originated and then went. farel hogs have ben around for centuries and centuries and then sum but thay just got to America a couple hundred years ago.

  • actually lol lemons have been around for millenia i dont think she knows what she is talking about

  • Lemons have been around for CENTURIES!

  • do u think u can grow lemon in nc

  • Well surprisingly Lemons are very hardy. I'm here in Alaska and my lemon trees survived for three to four years until it was in my dads porch and it got too cold from the frost. They were very large with 'huge' leaves. We never gave it any fertilizer either.

  • Well in one part of the video she says you can plant by seed, but later she mentions that you have to craft "hybrids". in a way she is right, as the only way to be sure you will get a hybrid, is by grafting, but from what I read, Meyer lemons usually come up true to type, but you will have to wait 7 or more years to find out. I have a small Meyer ( i hope) that I started from seed, its only about 1 yr old, so I have a long wait ...

  • There other eHOW video says do not use a graft to grow and this one is saying it must be grown from a graft.

  • What do you mean they "must" be grown from a graft? That's not true at all.
