Battery on Bass Guitar

Me playing Battery by Metallica on bass. Unfortunately I managed to play it 6 times perfectly before recording the video, only to fuck it up ON the video D: . I may record me playing this on my better equipment (read: better amp) later.

sort of, this video is pretty misleading as I can play far better than what I did in this video.

But yes it takes alot of practice to get down the speed and stamina for a song like this.

In my opinion you should use what the artist used so if the artist used a pick you play with a pick on that song if they used fingers then you should too there is no right or wrong

How about the others inability to play with fingers, thought about that? No.

I can play both, and i honestly tell you that i prefer fingers, not only because of the method. There are planty of things that you cant do with pick on bass, but you can do almost everything with fingers and little practice.

Honestly though, people who say picks are for guitarists are old farts too lazy to adjust themselves and blame others for their inability to play with a pick. ;)
