    July is summer I think so it'll be busy (this video is in winter and probably about 0c). There's a few places to stay up there that are very expensive (by chinese standards) and very basic.

    You could probably sneak off down one of the lesser known paths and find somewhere to sleep under the stars. There are guards around though, on Huangshan one guard escorted me to the hotel when he found me at night, I was going there anyway in that instance.
