Here is the complete cantata 58 (this is part 1 of 2). The bass soloist is Norman Farrow. Another classic performance by the Bach Aria Group.

I have created several playlists for Eileen Farrell -- all filled with very rare performances and out of print recordings. Here is a link to her Bach playlist: http://www.youtube.com/user/kadoguy2006#grid/user/9DE3531B13BF8689

  • great Love The Violinist in The Solo!!!

  • @PBXVIILY It's Maurice Wilk. He performed often with the Bach Aria Group and taught at Columbia University. He was also a member of the Alma Trio (violin, cello, piano). Here are the instrumentalists of the Bach Aria Group at the time of this recording: Maurice Wilk (Violin); Julius Baker (Flute); Robert Bloom (Oboe); Paul Ulanowsky (Piano); Bernard Greenhouse (Cello)

  • Thank you for letting me know. Julius Baker was a wonderful Flutist I had the chance to meet him at a music festival in 2000. I am performing this piece and wanted to hear different interpretations. This was my Favorite.
