In some of the comments below, there are references to the composer's association with the Breakfast Club. First, I have to say that anyone who really remembers the Breakfast Club has more than a little gray in their hair, if they have any. The Breakfast Club was one of the last of those great radio shows that originated out of Chicago in those days before recording was possible. For millions around the USA, Don McNeill was like a member of the family who shared your breakfast every morning.

This was one of the very first 78's I bought when I started collecting in 1977. You have an interesting way of presenting these old records...thanks !

OVC, Thank you so much that's very kind of you to say so! These were a bit of work but great fun to do. I'm so pleased everyone seems to be enjoying them.

This is an awesome video. 10 stars!!! :) I mean, favourite!!!
It's great seeing these VV50s in their natural setting. We could do without the TWEETING but nice nonetheless.

Laceup1967, (Sorry for the delay in responding)-What's the matter ain't you a bird lover?! ;-) (Just kidding) It's sort of an homage to a late long-time classical music DJ in Boston-Robert J. Lurtsema and his morning program: Morning Pro Musica-It always started with what seemed like 15 minutes of birdsong! Thanks for watching and thanks for the compliment!

fuzzbear6240 - you find the nicest settings. I'm afraid if I were one of those people passing by I would have ruined your film by stopping and sitting down at the picnic table to listen to this sweet music.. We need to take time to stop and smell the roses. Thank you.

Katu195, (Sorry for the delay in responding) Thank you so much for the praise-I do try to add some visually appropriate interest to my clips. I love having our filming "ruined" by admiring parties. I wish it happened more often.
Regards, J.

My Great Uncle Walter Blaufuss was a famous musical composer and part of the Breakfast Club in 1942 and also involved with this song.

Sarah, Thank you for the information. I've added a link to a site about the 1942 yearbook of the Breakfast Club. I hope you enjoyed the clip.
