Bushman - Your Love

Born Dwight Duncan, in 1973, Spring Garden, St. Thomas, Jamaica, Bushman was raised as a Rasta since the tender age of two.

During his teenage years and known as Junior Melody, he became the selector for Black Star Line sound system and began to sing dub plates for local sound systems such as Lees Unlimited, Mello Construction, King Majesty and others.

This track is off the Higher Ground album, released in 2001 on Greensleeves label.

For months, I thought this was voiced by one of my favourite artists, Luciano and has been a regular "rewind" driving tune for me for several years. What a voice!

@warrmachine1 Unfair to say that. Yes, his voice is very similar to Luciano, till its sometimes hard to tell the difference but I don't think he's trying to emulate him as he has his own words to say, If you like Luciano, don't see why you wouldn't like Bushman. After all, he was born with the voice!

@warrmachine1 i agree with browning....and further say that if your ears are truly listening and hearing then their voices are easily distinguishable, I`d say dwight sounds more alike to peter tosh than luci`, I love music by all three but for me Bushmans deep baritone voice and his conscious material is the most inspired and rich. Enjoy them all ;-)
