Special thanks to Dany Bougie, the original composer for old school shareware title, Champions of Zulula for composing this especially for this vid!

Forget the SNES or the PSX. Don't even mention the 360 or the Wii. There has only been one gaming platform that's given us a deep breadth of variety, innovation, accessibility, art and story.

Its name was Microsoft DOS. And here are its games.

  • CRY WHY IS DOS OVER they made the best games in that era

  • Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I've been a gamer since 1971 when I played Pong in a bar in Okinawa. I've played almost all of those games you showed and still have many of them. At 59, I'm still gaming.

  • Don't hate me, I have most of the games, and was a teenager in the 70's and in my 20's in the late 80's/early 90's so was around in the games stores talking about the "latest games" like X-Com and buying them and taking them home and playing them! I have kept evry game I bought, so have all the (now) classics! :)
