UFCW holds rally in Fullerton

As negotiations are ongoing between the food workers union and the major supermarket chains Vons, Albertsons and Ralphs workers and religious leaders from the area came out to pressure the chains to give them a fair deal. The major concern for the union was the healthcare portion of the new contract.

As for a possible strike there is no set time that one will occur but Rick Eiden made it clear that the Union has authorization and will strike if it comes down to getting a fair contract.

@meaty85 dude seriously shut up i work at a grocery store and our job is not hard at all it is the easy pay check of a life and i work at a damn high volume store.You probablly are one of those lazy ass people who work at a slow store and complain because you have to do a JOB..Ya i know you people at the store i just laugh at you guys while you complain at work all day.You dont like paying more for this healthcare?....

we all work very hard but you wouldnt know what hard work was if it kicked you in your balls. were not asking for much just a fair contract and a wage to feed our families. if it wasnt for us who stock the shelves cut the meat push the carts and tell you were the preparation H was then you wouldnt have a store to shop at these companies made billions they can afford to treat us right and with respect go work for one of them and youll see how hard we work you wouldnt last a day

a lot of us that work for these companies have degrees ass hole let me ask you can you afford 10,000 dollars a year for health care if you want pre cut frozen meat and bad produce then you will get,they want to cut our pay by 50% and make everyone work 3 to four different departments like the walmart associates have to if it wasnt for unions you would be homeless hungry and naked unions built america unions provide you with a good community remember that!

why not quit and find a job your happy with I'm sure there's millions of people out there that will take your job and not bitch about it so quit bitching and be happy you have a job! if you don't like your wages/benefits etc. then go to school graduate for one and go to college and be somebody get a job that requires an IQ thAts higher than a middle school student . you should be embarrassed to be protesting
