Benjamin Georges' 102nd musical composition
((~©~)) Copyrighted

If you hear no other piece from me, hear this one. Sometimes I wonder how I was able to do this without any music theory training . Every note is originally personalized. From the duration and intensity of the note to the instrument playing it. You may find this sounding like it belongs in movie because I was inspired by one- or rather just a part of one.

As far as my inspiration goes.. Lately my dreams have gotten more and more realistic and emotional for me. They're at a point where they feel much more real to me than actually being conscious. I believe that this very mindset propelled me to write this piece. That and the fact God was using me as hisinstrument to create something truly out of this world- or at least the one I live in.

Surprisingly, this was made on just a single night and afternoon; about 9 hours total pouring my heart out. This is the first time I've used a bagpipe in my music. Expect more spontaneity from me in the future. All of this was made by using only Finale 2010.

I think this piece defiantly serves as a mile-stone for my composing abilities.

Feel more than welcome to tell me what you think of this. If you like it, which I'm dearly hoping you do, you can as well feel free to rate, comment, and subscribe. Thanks again for hearing this. If any song completly reflects my heart's intentions and inner-desires for the world, my dreams, and music, this is it.

  • 5 months later and this is still epic, hope you are doing alright man :)

  • @Shadowmaster005 Hey, Buddy! Thanks for your comments, they give me such inspiration. It’s great to hear from you! Gosh, there is something inside me that’s yearning so much to compose again, I swear, it’s in my blood. But school is a huge priority now. I’m in high school right now, but a few months I’ll be in college and I’ll be composing again, you mark my words! I’ve got some pieces saved up that I need to finish and pour my heart to. I’m deeply looking forward to that opportunity. Take care!

  • Are you familiar with Mannheim Steamroller? While your works aren't identical, I hear similarities in scope and theme. And of course, the celestial graphics. Check out "Fresh Aire V" on YouTube and the link below. It's composed around a dream of astronomer Johannes Kepler.

  • @lgbtTV4 I also think that a both dark period and a stage of new optimism would be fantastic to go through- the more my life diversely takes me along its path, I think, the more developed and ‘verbose’ my music would be at expressing my experiences. And I will be sure to check out Steamroller's work! I'd love to fathom our similarities and differences in musical style.

  • Absolutely gorgeous and majestic. There's a lot going on, almost too much. It's so expansive, "Day of Awakening" is an apt title. You should consider building an entire album around this piece. I'd be impressed no matter who composed (and performed) this but being 17 makes it all the more amazing. I can't wait to see (hear!) what you'll produce a decade from now. Will adulthood and post-pubescent angst introduce a cynicism or even darkness? Or will there be a new optimism? Hmmmm...

  • @lgbtTV4 Thank you for your wise, kind, and inspiring words! I must say that I may be just as interested in what I will strive for and create in my near future as you are! I do hope that, whichever direction I choose, I’m composing for others, God, and myself and pushing the limits of what can be done with emotion in music.

  • You were definitely right; this is by far the pinnacle of everything you've made thus far. Watching your development as a composer is quite impressive. Keep up the great work!
