You are talking about your blue collar position. I don't care if the guy picking up my trash calls himself a sanitation engineer, he still is just a worker. The IEEE is NOT a Union anymore than the American Dental Association is a Union of dentists or the American Psychological Association is a Union of psychologists. You don't apprentice to become an engineer idiot. You get a 4 year degree from an accredited University. By the way you talk you are no more than an electrician.

your talking out of your ass. Not everyone has to join the IEEE. Some students are members through aprenticeships, I, however, was paid for by the company I work at. My shop isnt a union shop, not a single engineer is a member of the IEEE....

Really? This is from there website. IEEE appeared from the union of two engineering societies in the early sixties, the IRE (Institute of Radio Engineers) and the AIEE (American Institute of Electrical Engineers)

I'm gonna call bullshit on your BA in EE. Electrical engineering students become members of the IEEE in their first year of study. It has nothing to do with the Union which tells me that you are not an engineer and at best have a Community College associates degree in some tech course. Don't lie about yourself. It just makes you look stupid

I ask because we have similar fields. How long have you been a member of the IEEE?
