Racel Maddow is a Rhodes Scholar , with a degree from Oxford . I believe she is quite perceptive to bullshit stories being spun by interested parties.

It is also possible that Rand's eveluation of this aircraft is incorrect ( cant turn , cant climb , cant run ) . It is also possible that a catastrophic failure every 1.7 hours is ...." normal " ?

Agreed the production costs were a joke. However, when Rachel Maddow starts trying to talk about air superiority, she clearly has no idea. Control the air and you control a battle: the contest for this market is always advancing as it is so important. It can be a small nation with Sukhoi exports, or it could be a large nation like China - we can only speculate where the threat will really come from next, but fail to prepare = prepare to fail.

I don't understand what Ms Maddow is trying to accomplish here? Tass in it's glory days could not have put forth so much disinformation regarding a weapon system. Reasonable could understand if she simply argued the plane was to much money. There's no need to lie about it's performance. It's as if she has no interest whatever in the truth.

Why is it now, if this plane "melts" in the rain, that I have photographs of the 22 sitting around in rain/overcast conditions....outside? In fact it happens to be my computers wallpaper?

Now Rachel, I'll give you all the credit in the world, in that you happen to be more of a man then some of the other cats ripping the 22. But you should really take the time to think before you speak. Put the Palin playbook aside and use facts next time.
