It's not that he didn't know English, It's cause he's Finnish and doesn't bother to speak anything but our own holy language, lol

Pitkanen cant speek good english or understand it very well, but hes a very skilled D-man..and cotinues to develop and do great with Ruutu and Jokinen

hopefully he'll continue to grow and develop here in carolina. with his fellow finnish teammates - ruutu and jokinen.

i laugh so much when i saw this :D im finn and joni's english is so bad.. you know, i first thought that it would be much better but after i saw this i think him english really is awful :D but he'll survive and, well: the best defenceman in carolina..
