This is an ALL clear of the challenging freeware puzzle-platformer Championship Kaiten Patissier. The stages are done reasonably fast as to not be boring, but this is not a speedrun. Total time is 38:38.47 if you're curious though. I cringe when I see how bad some of these stages look, but I didn't bother redoing them again when that's not the focus. Big ups to my boy John de Sousa (aka Maur aka VorpalEdge aka GodspeedEdge aka make up your mind already!) for recording this for me. Thanks, man.
The Kaiten Patissier series by Alpha Secret Base consists of Kaiten Patissier and its two expansions: Ura Kaiten Patissier and Championship Kaiten Patissier. The first game is really easy, the second is in the middle but not difficult, and this one is pretty tough. CKP is my favorite game of 2008, which I'd say was a very poor year in gaming. I'm convinced this looks a whole lot easier in replays than it really is, but everyone who's seen this contends it looks insane. Who knows?
The best idea is to play for yourself and find out. In fact, stop watching right now so you don't spoil any of the solutions. Go to http://maglog.jp/alpha-secret-base/Article331978.html and you can find download links as well as links to the pages for the other games. I would definitely start with the first game and work through to this one. There is an English option in the menu, but the game is extremely simple to learn how to play. Just remember that Japanese doujin games tend to use Z as button 1 and X as button 2. Have fun!
