I can do this. It's not swallowing the tongue. You just shove it up and behind the pallet. It doesn't actually go down the throat.

@ilovericklyon Sometimes its not that easy. If the windpipe is blocked, the nose occasionally cannot inhale breath either. I chocked on a piece of steak when I was younger, and I couldnt breath AT ALL.

@Azdromis It's called Frenulum. I don't know if you can be born without it but there is a surgery to remove it (frenectomy) if it's short and you can't speak very well. Mine is short but my dentist said no need to remove it since I can pronounce all letters.

Haha, I can do this same thing! We were just born without the connecty piece that prevents others from doing this...I can't currently remember the name of the connecty piece...but its under your tounge? I figured this all out because my doctor somehow had the same thing! Ikr, what are the chances! haha

Hmm... I thought I was the only person who could do this. It turns out that if you get your tonsils taken out it becomes really hard to.

I can do that. In fact I use my tongue to clean all the mucus in my throat and spit it out. I can also pop my ears at will. Like if I'm on an airplane and the pressure makes my ears stuffy, I can pop them back to equal pressure.

@hayleyybethh , no you can't choke and die from this. There's a myth that people that have epileptic fits can "swallow their tongue" and choke but all that really happens is that some people can't breathe too well if they are unconscious and on their back, so you simply turn them on their side. In this vid, Grendle1500 has folded his tongue back behind his uvula, which is impressive, but it's not really swallowed.
