  • @RedRoosterRoad...as long as moms legs are up in the air like that, teaching students like this is totally unrealistic. The mother is NOT in a physiological position or even a position she would normally be in labor or even possibly the best position for catching a breech baby.

Deal with it or don't help moms have babies.

  • What an awful position to have mom in! What are they thinking? Totaly non-physiological and THIS is what they are teaching students?

  • @mellysingh Well Excuse Me im Jus 14 Nt Even Interested N Friggin Breech Wtf Ever Shi im Fascinated With AMERICAN REGULAR C- SECTION N NATURAL CHILDBIRTH .. Mk Smh .

  • the demonstration is wriong bec the head comes out first

  • @123456789108833 BREECH birth is when the baby comes out feet or butt first...do research before talking...

  • They Come Out HEAD FIRST !!!!!!!! My friend is disabled because the NEW Doctor pulled her out by her legs .

  • But you also have to remember, they have to practice the steps on the mannequins first before they're ever allowed near the real deal. This is probably their first time trying, so you're not going to get the best results. As a nursing student (BSN-RN), I know first hand how mannequins are not the best substitution for a person...but we have to know what we're doing before we can actually perform procedures on living people.

  • @MitchellGarden

Most people think that the lithotomy position is the only way to give birth. There are a few maneuvers that are used to help the infant to avoid being "stuck" (for lack of a better word at this moment) between the narrow canal and the mother's pelvic bones. One of them includes drawing legs up toward the chest, as seen here on the McRoberts Maneuver video. But realistically, yeah there will be stirrups there and all...

  • @MitchellGarden yea and also pending baby's legs stay like that. Have they actually tried on a non-dummy baby?
