I have been fascinated with very static minimalist videos taken with my 30 second capacity, crappy 2 mega pixel Radio Shack camera.
This was a fountain outside my hotel at the NAMM show convention and I loved it so much that I wrote a piece of music to accompany it. There are no effects on this whatsoever. It's what the camera saw at 3 a.m. in the morning.

  • Thanks, I"m glad that you got what I was going after, rekluziv. I found a website that had samples of a broken music box on it where you could loop the individual samples on and off on the site itself. I just improvised for 20 minutes with my mouse......then took the results and glitched it dragging the mouse backwards as it played forward in Sound Forge. I then wrote the strings afterwards in a manner of Copland at his saddest...........ahhhhh, Appalachian Spring and the 3rd Symphony!

  • i love this.

  • beautiful existential found art enhanced into a piece that makes my heart strings ache

  • Ah, this is gorgeous,- so dreamy and sweet..

  • enjoyed it. thanks

  • As distorted as this sounds, this still sounds traditionally bittersweet and melancholic, and the distortion, of course, only adds to this impression.

  • nice
