He still had the power during there fight that he had in his prime. He hit Joe with a forearm smash that didnt knock Calzaghe out. Even with all the knockdowns hes never looked like being stopped. Take a look at the Kessler and Reid fight and you will see his chin is one of the best in the game.

listen 2 all the pros m8 and even they will tell u that calzaghe is just 2 difficult 2 handle... he has way to many styles 4 jones and would of caused him great difficulties watever

@1unknownprophet1 Don't be silly. Commentators said Joe was struggling to make 168 back in 1999, they said he promised he'd be moving up to light heavy and coming to america "next year". Next year didn't come for over a decade, and when it did, it was for 2 fights against opponents a combined age of 83.

There was 3 fights scheduled with Glen Johnson, Joe pulled out of all 3. One time he pulled out just 1 week before the fight. Joe's the one who didn't want to fight.

did you not listen to the commentary on this fight they said he was starving himself just to stay at 168 and they also said he was trying to get a fight with roy jones or gelncoffe johnson at light heavy but it wasn't happening. you should also note this was like 6 or seven years ago. he tried to get big fights in america but no one would fight him because he didn't have a name there and it was way too much of a risk

Happy to be proved wrong,but I've yet to see anything other than Abraham slugging away against Miranda who was appalling in the second fight & several fights on youtube vs fighters a long way below elite level. Dawson & Johnson are in the division Calzaghe is now fighting in whilst Abraham is 2 divisions below and hasn't got any track record at a higher weight, only once weighing in over the middleweight limit as far as I know.

Wait a sec. Isn't Abraham considered by most the 2nd best European fighter after Calzaghe within 2 divisions? Doesn't he have the third biggest folowing in Europe after Hatton and Calzaghe respectively? More than Vlad. As for being a crude banger, I guess that means you've only watched his highlights. Skill wise he is like a poor man's Winky Wright with the strength of Jermaine Taylor. And lastly, would Geln Johnson or Chad Dawson bring the money that Abraham could command?
