This is back when a big part of the establishment was still against rock and roll. It is before they realized all of the revenue that could be generated by it. You can tell by the tone of the show, alot of people were still scared by rock and roll, they still believed the myth. It's almost cute the naivete of it.

I'm a musician for a typical garage/weekend band, and a HUGE B.O.C. fan since the mid-80's, Rush, too, amongst others... more recently in the past decade, hung out with Type O Negative and support acts a lot, at stage right and typically by bass monitors and ear-level with drum kits, and I check out local hardore and metal acts quite frequently. I haven't used ear protection until the past few years, BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALIZE THE PERMANENT DAMAGE I WAS DOING. I use them now, but it's too late.
