  • Salaam Alaikum,

Red Shi'ism (Islam, in general) stands for justice, humanity and man's social progress. It is a self-conscious movement of human ambition and struggle for the collective community; selfless.

Black Shi'ism is absent all of the above values taught by the Prophet and the Imams for fatalism. To mourn the tragedy of the lives of the Prophet and his family, but to not instill the essence of their message to the soul. It is empty ritual Islam - dogmatic, meaningless and silly.

  • @Superman4ever

Brother, I read his essay red shiism vs. Black shiism and I would appreciate it if you could briefly explain the difference between the two, other than one being 'the religion of martydom' and the other being 'the religion of mourning'.

  • i agree 100%

  • Ali Shariati's "Hajj" really is the greatest book on Hajj, I have ever read. All of his work is revolutionary.

His essay "Red Shi'ism vs. Black Shi'ism" was the very thing I've been looking for since I was 10-11 years old.

In the past 7-8 months, he's, and Baqr al-Sadr, had the most influence on me. "Fatimah is Fatimah" changed the essence of my heart.
