PLEASE DONATE! http://www.redcross.org/JapanEarthquake

I don't know how anyone can watch the whole situation in Japan and, A.) not feel really depressed and bad for the Japanese people, or, B.) think that we need MORE nuclear power and not be worried about the consequences of this and that it could happen anywhere. I don't know about you but with as much as I love my technology I would happily give it all up for clean air and water; I would happily scale it all back to not have to worry about nuclear meltdowns or where to store nuclear waste (which is HUGE problem); to not have to worry about how many pollutants and particulates are in the air from coal, oil, and other fossil fuels. I'd give it all up to know we could be safer and healthier!
This is a seriously scary situation in Japan, and it could happen anywhere. We need to get rid of anything that we produce that is this dangerous, and that we can't get rid of. If we had been seeking alternatives for the last 50-100 years, and using all the money that we've been pouring into the standard systems we have now, on other sources of energy we would be much further ahead than we are now. Alas, it all ends up being about money, power, control, and not what is best for the planet or the people. We could have had industrial hemp and other bio-fuels, solar, wind, and many other solutions by now, but some of the corporate interests that profit from the standard systems have too much lobbying pressure and money.
All philosophical, theological, political arguments are MEANINGLESS when we have no clean air and water, no food, etc. This SHOULD BE A WAKE UP CALL, it's time to demand change!

(I'm not sure how well my translation worked via Google translator, but I hope it gets the message across.)

  • @thedeadstatues Thanks, Dean! I hope it send a message that there is no such thing as 'safe' nuclear, and hopefully some people donated.

In terms of audio I do like the way it came out, disturbingly weird but appropriate considering the situation. I was lucky to find some really good public domain pictures and video (especially the final scene) and I'm glad people have checked it out.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and watch!

  • Really like the sounds you have used in this video very inspiring!!!!

    Dean
