    The irony is, neither Gary Glitter nor the "Glitter Band" had much to do with this track. Aside from the occasional "Rock and roll - hey!" all other vocal effects were done by Mike Leander, who also played all of the instruments. The Glitter Band were there for show, and they weren't much of that either !
