    go jump off a bridge

  • Yes, all 12 notes were played a couple centuries ago, so everyone should quit playing now ;-) - don't worry, YouTube is filled with idiots, just ignore them and they will...problably just keep on trying to make fun of the people that are really doing something with their lives!

  • The problem with pretentious people is, that they always believe, that their things are best.

There are seldom Jazz fans who say "Yea, I like Jazz because I like it." You always got stuff like "It's technically brilliant, he's a genius, ohmygodmygod!"

  • hmmmm

  • Wow This is a Great Piece of Music !!

  • james muller WOOOOO

  • If you are suggesting that any music which borrows from something else is outdated, you're an idiot. Who do you think inspired Monk and Tyner back in the sixties? True originality in music is nearly impossible to attain.. And it doesn't matter how far back you go.

All you achieve by posting comments like that is perpetuating the stereotype of the pretentious jazz fan.

  • And we wonder why people find jazz fans pretentious. Good music is timeless, and almost everything musical is informed by something else. Indeed Mcall draws on Alice Coltrane and McCoy Tyner's spiritual period here, but they in turn were feeding off John Coltrane's lead, who in turn was feeding off Coleman, who etc, etc..

If you are suggesting that all music which borrows from someone else is crap, you'd have a pretty small music library on your hands there.
