  • Hi. How is the double action trigger pull on the 60. It is a hard decision re: my next purchase choice but the 60 has made it thus far. The 3" bbl model 60. I know we have spoken before - just that any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have the Rossi 6 shot snubbie. 2 OLD charter arms bulldog .44 special (son of sam guns) and a couple of older large S & W .357. Now I want nice J frame. thanks for your help. sincerely, JAMES.

  • well i have a model 60, all Jframes can come with ok or poor triggers.... all my J frames have new wolf spring kits that make the trigger more smooth and light

  • Is that a 2 1/8 " barrel? What kind of round were you firing?

  • yes abd 158 swc 38spl

  • I haave one like this. Very nice.

  • In my opinion, the model 60 is hard to beat. Ive had my model 60-9 for 12 years and it still is my favorite gun. Now that I have a LG-105 Crimson Trace grip, Its the only gun I carry . If you have a S & W model 60 , The CTC grips will make an already perfect gun even better

  • Thank you for the advice. Next time I am in my gun store - If they have one there - I will try out the trigger. Right now I have the 642 Airweight snubnose with the lock unfortunately. I plan to replace the springs but cannot find anyone to do this. I guess it is difficult taking the side plate off the gun. They also said it's a difficult job because you have to smooth down all the rough edges of which there are many. Plus it is MIM. They tell me "get an old one" Thank You. Sincerely,d JAMES

  • @buzzclark I have the 357 model 60 LS w/ and it does well for the trigger, i was shopping for a model 60 snub, and well the ladysmith had the smoothest of the triggers from the factory. I was looking for something very smooth from the get go. If you don't mind ladysmith on the side of the firearm, i would advise picking one up, besides it is all steel so it does well w/ the .357 recoil

  • 5 shots? And was that a 357. or 38 special?

  • Best concealed carry gun out there!
