Carl Orff's CARMINA BURANA has a baritone solo movement called "Estuans Interius." The first line of this aria (Estuans interius ira vehementi) was used by Nobuo Uematsu for his Final Fantasy VII final battle theme, "One Winged Angel," that plays during the fight with Sephiroth. However, "One Winged Angel" does not use any melodic or tonal elements from the aria.

"Estuans Interius" was also sampled by the hip-hop group Jedi Mind Tricks on the song "Heavy Metal Kings", but it was exactly opposite to Uematsu: the melody was carried over but not the lyrics.
