Girl In A Coma - "Celibate Now" Live 12/14/07

This was shot at the Ruta Maya Riverwalk Cafe in San Antonio, Texas.

I focused my camera on different band members during different songs with the intention of cutting all the footage into one concert video. After re-watching the concert, I decided that "Celibate Now" was the best choice for the video. However, once I started editing, I found myself unable to cut away from Nina (the lead singer). Her performance was too fantastic. So I instead cut the video to another song and now present the live version of "Celibate Now" raw and uncut.

I think it was a fateful choice to have the camera on Nina during that song. I think you'll all agree that she just crushed it.

i do agree that it's hard to not focus solely on her, but it would have been cool if you could have gotten more of her body language into the shot... her intensity isnt just limited to her voice and expressions :)

gah all of you guys in Texas are so lucky to have them playing what would seem like everyday/night [ok well not really, but you guys are stil lucky that theyre from your home state]. It's a blessing to have them here in LA!

I know what you mean about the focusing on band members when recording. I usually choose to not record, to make it easier, and of course to enjoy the show more!
