  • @broadcastmyass4u I would also recommend remembering that the mind is the human-expression's tool for experience. Remember that it's your mind. I say, "My mind, not mind's my." Your mind is your own, yours to experience this world through, so it literally is not truly "in control" unless you assign that value to it. Why let your mind control your life, when its your mind, you're not the mind's. Keep that in mind. Experience this world as you choose.

  • @broadcastmyass4u Of course you're not pathetic! It's natural. Though this video deals with advaita vedanta, which is a hindu "philosophy" that deals with enlightenment that transcends thinking, feeling, emotions - everything! It transcends consciousness itself, at the most basic level.

    If negative thinking gets in your way, maybe you could be interested in NLP!

  • @SofaSalmon now this actually made sense to me, really! I guess the question for me is can i control what i think about, and get rid of old thinking patterns. I think being around certain people that think negatively all the time is what will mess with you. Even just telling you to do little things all the time will get these negative patterns to emerge. I can't even seem to get a job, i guess because of negative body language or something. I know, i'm pathetic

  • @broadcastmyass4u I understand! The way I interpret it is that since thoughts are temporary, floating freely in consciousness and have no separate existence they should be payed no attention. Find what is "behind" thoughts, moods, emotions - even consciousness itself.

  • Pitiful, sorry but this brought me no logical explanation for why one should be at peace with ones self. Sorry but that's just how i felt.
