Officer William Mott Memorial

Central Point Police Officer William "Willie" Mott was honored Friday, Jan. 11, with a police motorcade and memorial service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford, Ore.
He was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Dozens of law enforcement officers from across the region attended the memorial service to pay their respects for a fallen colleague.
Mott died Dec. 28 when he lost control of his vehicle on an icy Interstate 5 near Yreka. His sister, Cordie Robinson, 31, of Spring Creek, Nev., was a passenger and also died.
Mott was off-duty at the time of the crash. He is survived by his wife, Monica Mott; son, Eric; daughter, Rhianna; parents, Gene and Mary Ann Mott; and brothers, Don Mott and Paul Mott. For more, visit http://www.mailtribune.com online.
