Philippines is mixed culture. It is called Apat na alon ( tribe of the 4 waves). it is a reference to the "waves" of immigrants, who came to the Philippines over many Millennia.
1. Malayopolynesian, 2. Afroasiatic, 3. Indianarabic,4.Spanish.
Just like many other countries are mixed cultures!
We are ALL special, we just have different stories!

I'm a Filipino dude & I find it funny how we always try to classify ourselves as something else. We're asian. We have traces of Spanish, Polynesian, Indonesian, Malaysian, etc. We're considerably pacific-islander...but that isn't a continent.
At the end of the day, Filipinos are asian & I lol at the ones who think we're so special that we deserve our own little classification system.
