I much prefer this cover to the original. I get that its more emotional coming from rufus and whatever, but rufus' voice just grates me. He sings this beautiful emotional song with such a sharp tone, no softness at all and i have to turn it down to make it sound nicer. Tom sings it so gently and delicately, so i personally like this more as i feel i can connect with it better. But what a credit this song is to rufus, its gorgeous and so well written. He is a very clever man!

Look, I can totally understand the Rufus fans here saying that the song has more emotion in Rufus' version but I am a big Keane fan I'm not a major fan of Rufus' original because I just can't get into it but however it's his song so fair enough. But come on can we stop criiticising here and remember this cover wasn't released as a single so no real gain was made on it so it was made with love and passion for the song...Good if i could see some more of that love here...Just saying :)

why so much hate? We all sing songs by different artist and we do it to pay tribute to them! This is no different. Honestly I love Tom's voice and I think he sounds fine.

Ugh. What gives this song its power is the known dynamic between Rufus and his father. If this guy has a similar relationship then he should write his own song about it, or AT LEAST change the song to fit his own style rather than attempting to match Rufus note for note. In doing so, he's saying that he can improve on the song merely by being the one singing. It's like when a director remakes a movie shot-for-shot....it's just embarrassing. Do something new with it. Please.
