My mother was a huge Willie Nelson fan. She was very ill and went into the hospital on May 5th of this year for 10 days and kept telling me every day that she just wanted to go home. On May15th, I leaned over her and whispered a promise to her that I would get her home the next day and I did...I got her home at 5:30pm on the 16th and 25 hours later she died in my arms while this song was playing...and as the last note of this song rang through, the candle beside the bed flickered out. xoxo Mom

Dave here. I prefer this video because it's a studio version; no crowd noise. Such a soulful song's mood is shattered by crowd noise. And that's the way it is, March 8th, 2011.
