Short film made in Super 8. Made in Montréal in Guy-Concordia and Frontenac metro station. The camera I used was a Canon 310 xl with a Tri-x film from Kodak. The process and the video transfer have been rendered by the Black & White Film Factory who did an amazing job ( http://www.blackandwhitefilmfactory.com/ )

  • how did you record the sound? hmm..

  • @izaatmusic I used a Dat recorder, which is kind of the last analog technology in sound recording. Then I transfered what I recorded via Protools on a Macpro.

  • Beautiful quality video and filming !

What's the blues song playing ?

  • @MrRomeow The song actually comes from the bluesman you see playing. I recorded whim with a DAT recorder, the last attempt of making analog sound recording devices. Thanks for the comment.

  • How did you do that sequence from 2:35 - 2:40? Beautiful video by the way. I agree with ballroomrescue, the OTS shot on the guitar player was fantastic.

  • great over the shoulder shot on the guitar player in the train stop. makes me wanna film again. keep up the good work

  • Magnifique! Le noir et blanc, un peu flou, ca rend tellement bien!

  • i was living in montreal for many years and your film brought all my memories back!

  • @czarrrrr No, not with that sort of film. Personally I would try a plus-x for exterior shots instead of a tri-x (lower Iso). I've got 3 cartriges of plus-x in my fridge waiting to be exposed. I'll let you know if I finally use them. Right now I'm a little more into 16 mm.

  • @sk8hurtsme sweet.. any tests on ext. day shots?
