Hello, this is a video of how to make clean, safe hydrogen. It uses 12Volts, 340mA from a DC wallwort.
I had two aluminum plates in tap water container and put two spoons of pure baking soda in the water for electrolyte.

The left plate is positive, it makes oxygen, and the right plate makes hydrogen. It may be hard to see, but hydrogen in small bubbles are rushing to the surface, and it makes the water look cloudy, but good clean production.

Thanks for watching, feel free to comment to me and ask questions.

  • what does the baking soda do

  • when salts are disolved in water, they can conduct electricity very well. Baking soda is a good one, since it is inexpensive and safe.

  • allo ben!

    its bobby again.

have you considered using mesh filters or strainers for anodes and cathodes, they would fit together well, be much closer, thus enhancing the productivity a lot. we need to harness and this use it as a fuel source sometime.

  • I agree, this is such great stuff, the future fuel of everything. It is in our grasp, which is incredible to get a grip on, hehehe.

Yeah, I have seen that mesh idea somewhere b4, is it like taking S.S. cups and putting them together with small spacings?? Ahh, that would be a good cell. I got some stainless steel sinks and bowls, and new welder can weld and cut them to some plates perhaps, So I hope to make more videos and get to work, hheh. Thanks for every thing, :)

    Ben.

  • hello.Ben, nice and appeaciate to share us your information. May i know how we put the hydrogen gas into steel gas tank? Is it the hydrogen gas we can use it for buring?

  • And another thing is to be very careful. Hydroxy is extremely explosive, so any little trace of oxygen in the tank and KABOOOM! lol...

And the compressor will connect to a bike valve, kinda like the car valve. So weld a little bike valve to your tank and that will be easy. Thanks for your interest, anytime.

  • That is a very good question. You will want to seperate the oxygen from the hydrogen in the electrolysis procedure, called isolated duct electrolysis I think :)

Then when u get pure hydrogen on one side, bubble it through a water device into a big bottle. THen take a small 12volt vehicle tire compressor and glue a tube to the top of the air intake on the compressor cylinder. Now have the tube to suck up pure hydrogen, and it will compress hydrogen up to 220 psi or so in a tank. Thank you.

  • Hmmm, thats interesting. Is it effecient because it has high conductance, and dissolves well in cold water? So maybe baking soda isn't conductave enough, and it makes impedance which results in heat loss, so I agree that lye and low voltage is great idea, thanks.

  • Glass will melt down I think. The most known much best electrolyte is NaOH and KOH. For best as possible efficency reach, you need KOH 28% on water, and if you use NaOH then 30% on water. It is way maybe x5 times more efficency than baking soda, vinegar or salt.

  • OH yes, I liked your video showing how much hydrogen makes from aluminum NaOH. I am curious about NaOH in glass, what does that do, thanks. I kinda prefer baking soda/vinegar, it seems safer, but do you know if it is as efficent?, I am not sure. I think Dmanubuntu will like this video. Thanks for commenting!
