How is your camera's FPS so fast? I just got this camera and when viewing it from the net it's like only a couple frames then pause, then frames..etc. Like OLD school 1990's technolgy,... it's driving me nuts.

just wondering what kind of range does the wireless camera have...what if i wanted to set up the camera in my car so i can check out the dumb tards who mess around with it...vandalism that kind of stuff.. lets say i have the car parked a good few hundred feet..or even a block. will it work?

@blitz145 Hey blitz, I certainly have not tested that particular scenario and there are a lot of variables to take into affect like your own router performance etc. Another factor to your investigation is that the molecam requires power, how would you get the power in your vehicle , enough to monitor it all night ?

I think there are some products you could explore but I just don't own any of them.. Booya

@rustOfunk also... although I haven't written the article or shot the video yet, ipCam viewer works well with a ton of different ip cams. I use it for my molecam, dlink dcs 920(basic cheap cam), and I also use it when I turn my extra droid into an ip cam. very flexible software. Molecam is extra nice because of: 1: nightvision 2: pan n tilt 3: remote access via app or web .. the YOICS web site has the most functionality though. the iphone app is best at just viewing.

@rustOfunk Hey Rust... so first off the molecam is great, I still own and use mine. There are lots of others out there too, I just never researched or tested them. So... Yup this thing does 2 way audio, if you wanted to "talk to a burglar" ( or pet ) you would plug in a speaker set to your Molecam. in theory you could tell your dog to SIT from your office, or a burglar to "Get the frick out, 911 has been called".. The best iPhone ( and droid ) app I found is called "IP CAM VIEWER"

@jasonsoeda I have a macbook pro as one of my gadgets, I can run a test. I'm pretty sure I've already tested it and it worked, but I'll need to do it again.. "pretty sure" yes, but it's been a while as I use gadgets on my xoom and iphone to keep up to date.

Can I use Firefox or Safari on my Mac at work to keep an eye on my house? I haven't read much about Mac compatibility with the Mole Cam.

@dawnmarko1 I'm not sure if you were just surfing, or considering the molecam. but it does work, and it works well. It takes a little tech savvy to set it all up, but once you get it fired up it is a totally usable product I'm serious. I have 2 IP cams, molecam and a dlink DCS 920. With IP cameras you get what you pay for so don't go too cheap.. The Molecam SMOKES the dcs 920 not even close!
