"Made in L.A." follows the remarkable story of three Latina immigrants working in Los Angeles sweatshops as they embark on a three-year odyssey to win basic labor protections from a trendy clothing retailer. In intimate verité style, "Made in L.A." reveals the impact of the struggle on each woman's life as they are gradually transformed by the experience. Compelling, humorous, deeply human, "Made in L.A." is a story about immigration, the power of unity and the courage it takes to find your voice.

Thank you for this documentary. Regardless of people's legal status in this country, they are human and they deserve to be remunerated for their work.

I just saw this documentary. It was extremely moving. It's infuriating that people are abused due to their undocumented status. They are abused on a number of levels, some of which aren't even touched here. Yet they have such a spirit to inspire them to fight for their rights and make changes that will not just affect them, but also potentially affect the lives of the thousands of mistreated undocumented workers in this country. Great film.

Just because Forever21 has this type of labor, what makes you think other companies don't have this? Forever21 makes cheap clothing yes, so they can't shut the mouthes of employees, whether they're illegal or not. Bigger companies who make bigger money CAN use money to keep mouths shut. This happens not only with Forever21, but also other industries as well. I don't understand why is Forever21 targetted... Might as well go investigate other companies too then -_-"

The thing is these people are illegal; they are breaking the law. What, are we suppose to reward them for breaking laws and doing illegal things? Why don't we go award the child molesters too then.

i know im off topic... u know ppl work so hard, and sometime even years, to become usa legal residents/citizens. but illegal immigrants just come and take away the chances of getting jobs that the legal immigrants/usa citizens should have. so who gonna to stand up for legal immigrants??
however, i do agree that companies should do the right thing for their employees, cuz they a the one who choose to hire them

In the U.S.A. there is no official language. People can speak what ever language they want. You don't hear the Native Americas say speak our native language, learn it your in america, this isn't Europe. Almost everyone in the Americas speaks a foreign language. So shut up.
