Great White Sharks research in Neptune Islands South Australia. The purpose of this expedition was to attach Satellite tracking device to Great White Sharks in order to track their movements and learn more about their behaviour. You are about to witness a 3.8 metre Great White Shark being landed in a sling to begin the tag attachement process. This Great White Shark, now called "Columba", has been sending back data for one year and has swam all the way to the Indian Ocean in Norther Western Australia and has now returned to South Australian waters.

  • Whats the point with the lame "Jaws" music?

  • I'd have to agree with you. I made the video in a rush and it was an obvious and unimaginative choice. I will change it when I make a better version of the video.

  • are you in the water with this great white??

  • Hi

I had the camera on a pole and I was leaning over the side of the boat. The water was clear enough to see the sharks coming (most of the time). Their was not one shark, their was five, with the biggest shark (the one with the kink in its dorsal fin), being about fivr metres long.

Good work. You got some really nice stuff with the camera on a pole. Great Whites aren't camera shy.
