"WAXY COLLAR" © lyrics

Government pending, on those wackin white charades
Cotton coat tails hanging low, brass buttons worn away
A stitch in time saves time and I thank you for that my dear
But since you walk so slowly you're gonna waste away all your years

Cause Jackson's waxy collar on that new twenty dollar don't mean nothing 'round here

I seen you cruising, from one hundred yachts afar
Trying to crack that number leather whip at me honey, acting like you my Ma'
You know, but... I've seen you waxin' Jackson, Drinkin' on that strong coffee brew

Cause Jackson's waxy collar on that new twenty dollar don't mean nothing 'round here

I've seen you with your plan and your master hand
Trying to lend out that free money... I don't really think so man
You know, but... I've seen you waxin' Jackson, Drinkin' on that strong coffee brew

Cause Jackson's waxy collar on that new twenty dollar don't mean nothing 'round here

Cause Jackson's waxy collar on that new twenty dollar don't mean nothing 'round here

  • "Downtown Train" is a song by Tom Waits released on his album Rain Dogs in 1985.

Also rereleased by Bob Seger ! Good song but , change the title !!

  • @wantedbythefbi ::: "Rollin Stone" is a song by McKinley Morganfield released in 1948. I have never listened to mr. Waits nor is our band name a response to his music. We are modern Blues men living in Downtown LA... we live by Train and cruise by night... the gift of dancin' & romancin' is in our blood :) thank you for the kind words!
