Shiatsu Workshop for Prone Position by Akitomo Kobayashi & Yuji Namikoshi 11

We had an opportunity to present The 15th International Shiatsu Conference in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Canadian Shiatsu Society of British Columbia and the Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy. On the second day of the conference, free Shiatsu Workshop was held at the UBC, with over 150 participants. Akitomo Kobayashi sensei, former Chairperson of Japan Shiatsu Alumni Association, and Yuji Namikoshi sensei, the Head of the Namikoshi Shiatsu Treatment Centre performed a Shiatsu for prone position. Along projecting Yuji Namikoshi senseis demonstration onto the screen, Kobayashi sensei explained the position with an interpretation by Sandy Woodburn sensei. カナダBC州指圧協会並びにカナダ指圧カレッジ創立10周年を記念し、第15回指圧国際大会がカナダバンクーバーにて開催され、大会第2日目にブリティッシュコロンビア州­立大学において、一般の方々を対象にした無料指圧講習会が開催されました。第2部は日本指圧専門学校同窓会前会長・小林秋朝先生及び日本指圧専門学校治療部主任講師・浪越­雄二先生が「伏臥指圧」を実演指導。サンディウッドバーン先生に通訳いただき、浪越雄二先生の施術する様子が会場前方の大型スクリーンに映し出され、それに添って小林先生­が実演内容を解説されました。会場いっぱいに敷き詰められた特性マットの上で参加者は、二人一組でペアとなり、一人は患者、もう一人は施術者となりスクリーンに映し出され­る様子を参考にしながら見様見真似で施術を行いました。講習会の様子をご覧になりたい方は、www.shiatsu.vcへ！！
