Yesterday was a special memorial ceremony to remember those who lost their lives, what we commonly call 9-11 or Nine Eleven.
It was a sobering ceremony that began at 6 sharp, mixing citizens, emergency personnel and soldiers in their finest.
John Naylor, Chief, West Side Volunteer Fire Department, started the ceremony and gave an very eloquent, heartfelt talk and prayer. Jenna Cossey gave a wonderful rendition of the national anthem and Thomas Howse, of the Cannon County High School Band performed Taps professionally.
Faye Morse, Cannon County EMA Director, led the pledge to the flag and also gave a speech.

It was a very moving ceremony.
Cannon County is proud of its emergency personnel, doing their best to serve others, and those who are home from the military and those currently serving.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. You are what makes America great and free.
I look like a zombie singing here...because I was looking up at the flag...haha
